Recap: Training Wheels and Trick Saddles

Since Judson is turning five, Gil and Kelly decide to surprise their son with a new bike. Judson has been on training wheels so his older brother, Warden, convinces him to try without it. Judson is not sure about it at first.
The Paine family and Tori is headed to Nashville to record Erin's Christmas CD with their friend Any Leftwich. Chad and Erin have been saving money for a CD before Carson was born however they ended up changing the plan due to Carson's early arrival.
Erin loves music and loves to encourages others. During the recording, Kelly brings Lawson and Callie to cheer Erin on. Both Chad and Kelly praise Erin on the talent that the Lord had given her.
On the second season finale, the family met with Dixie Stampede and they promised to stop by the house to teach the boys some skills. The day is finally here and bring Ashley and Shadow to teach them at the ranch that the family owns.
After the boys learn the tricks they hit the town with horse. Shadow is surprise that the boys run that town and are full force.

Recap: Fly Fishin' Zip Linin' Honeymoon

Shorty after the wedding, Brandon and Michaella head for their honeymoon. They are traveling to Flathead county, Montana.
They decide to do fly fishing at the lake. Michaella ended up catching more fish than her husband. Brandon did not like the fact that they were separated in the boat since he had to be up front and she had to be in the back. He wanted to do something together.
The next activity, they head to go Zip lining. Michaella wears a dress and has leggings right as they do the zip lining. They enjoy the breathtaking view.
Brandon and Michaella head to Alpine Slide and head down the track in a sled.
Gil and the little girls head to Rickard Ridge BBQ. Gil knows that after the wedding he wants to spend time with the kids for fun.
Kelly revealed that the little girls miss their sister very much. She hopes that with the girls  spending time with their dad that it will make everything okay.
Gil orders sweet tea but the little girls take it since he is supposed to be on a diet. The girls said that he can have one glass on it. The girls headed to the bathroom and Gil gets another glass.
Zach is about to start a 11 week training course at the police academy. He really did not like being away from Whitney and Bradley during the first few weeks and now is able to be home. Zach revealed that he called home crying and Whitney said that it was every night. He really missed his family.
Whitney revealed that she got support from her family. Josie came over to help make dinner for Zach. Josie used to be a chaperoned for Zach and Whitney while they were in their courtship.

Preview: 15 Kids and an Empty Nest

With the big wedding just days away the family is busier than ever. Erin hosts a laughter filled candle making party for Michaella and her bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Nathan, Lawson, and Trace take Brandon to a skating rink, but an accident on the ice could put the wedding in jeopardy.

Recap: Welcome Back Bates

Gil and Kelly are joking that they are having empty nest syndrome as three of their 19 kids are married and one will be soon joining that club. Nathan and Tori are taking college classes. Michaella and her parents head to Petals and Lace in Nashville to find her dream dress.
The family are surprised that Nathan and Lawson arrive with a few of the girls. Girls know that they want to see their sister in but Nathan thinks that you are going need a guy's opinion.
Petals and Laces have many different kind of dresses and Gil thinks that many of the dresses  are missing their tops.
Michaella dresses in many wedding dresses and the family has a lot of different opinion. Michaella has found the dress that she wants to get married in.
Gil is not sure about the cost since he likes to save money but when he finds out that it's only 600 dollars with tax, he is happy.
Just a month to go and the family is heading to another wedding for Kelly's sister's Beth. Gil seems to think that the weather is hot.  They are also surprise to John and Alyssa with baby Allie.
Michaella is working on planning her wedding and  shares that her mother is her best-friend and the maid of honor.
Kelly and Michaella head to Addallee and Ellie to visit Beth for a chat. They are excited to see Beth's dress. Kelly and Beth are adoptive sisters.
The weather is leaving the guests uneasy since it's storming up. It starts raining but the bible states that rain is a blessing.
The family is heading to Papa Bill and Mama Jane's for Papa's birthday. Jane has been celebrating Bill's birthday on the same day on Fourth of July. The family packs up and heads to the house. Michaella and Callie stay behind for Michaella's dress fitting. Zach is not able to attend because he is training.
Mama Jane gets a little upset with the family since they break the hammock very year. Mama Jane has to fix it. Gil says that this year she was calmer because two years ago she took her shoe off and went after a few of them.
Papa Bill is not doing so good with his heart so the family is cherishing every moment that they have with them. Whitney shares a comment about how much her husband respects him.
Kelly and Tori head into a kickball game and does very well.
Last week, we announced that there was a grandbaby on the way and it's Zach and Whitney! They are due in the summer!

Two weeks until the new show

We just have two weeks until the new season starts! 

 

Season three previews and summaries

We are super excited to announced that our previews will be posted on Tuesdays and our recaps will either be posted Thursday night after the show airs or Friday morning.

We are also hoping to do some trivia on each episode which would be posted on Friday and goes until Thursday afternoon.

We are super excited to announce that season three will start January 7th!

Season three!

Kelly has confirmed that there will be another season of Bringing Up Bates. The network has not released the new premiere date so we are sure that it will be some time this winter. We will keep you updated on it

Season finale!

Next week is the season finale of the show! There is no word about season three so make sure that you check out the blog for more details on when season three will be announce!
