Welcome to the Bates family blog! Gil and Kelly have been married since 1987 and have nineteen children. Twelve of their children have been married. One of their children are in a courtship. They have twenty-eight grandchildren with four on the way. They have four children and eight grandchildren in heaven.

Isaiah's 1st mission trip
Today marked the beginning of an answer to prayer (& really a whole series of miracles) for Isaiah!
He’s embarked on his very 1st missions trip as he headed to NY this past Thursday evening, & then on to the Philippines, where he’ll be staying for 3 weeks before beginning his sophomore year in college. He just safely landed with Nathan & Esther in Manila just a few hours ago. They’ll spend a few days together working in Cebu, & then Isaiah will separately fly to the city of Tacloban, where he’ll be staying the majority of the trip with our dear Pastor friend, Jerry Tanawan. Pastor Jerry is going to keep him very busy, & we couldn’t be more grateful for Pastor Jerry’s enthusiasm, his love for the Lord, & for his testimony! So many prayers were answered in this trip coming together, from working out details for flights & passport to friends sweetly showing their love to Isaiah through prayers & gifts. He’s been overwhelmed to see God’s hand through all of it! He’s certainly got a humble heart & such a sweet spirit; I can only imagine that this trip will have a great impact on his life & future! ❤️ We’d appreciate your continued prayers as he’s away! 🙏

Grandchildren part 3
Back in April 2023, We created this cover before Chad and Erin announced that they were expecting baby #6.
The count will be at twenty-seven grandchildren. You can check out who is the parents of these beautiful grandbabies in part one and part two.
We will be updating this cover in September 2023 when baby Girl and Ryker have arrived.
Chad and Erin are due to welcome their newest little one in December 2023 and it's a baby boy.

Baby Girl's name update
Zach and Whitney have about an month and half until baby girl's arrival.
Zach and Whitney said that they are down to two names. They hope to have a name soon for baby girl.
