Recap: Smitten in the Smokies

 Travis comes to Tennessee for Katie's birthday. Travis rveals that Katie loves to remind him that she is older than him by five months. He adds that she loves to say that I love older women. When he arrives to the house, he surprises her with a new dress and plans for a dinner date. When it comes to having chaperones, Katie and Travis choses Addallee and Ellie since they have a limited section.

Whitney and Carlin head to pick up their key for their storefront in Rocky Top. Whitney and Carlin make plans for their store with Zach and Chad. The girls are concerend that they will grow out of this space quickly like they grew out of the warehouse in Zach and Whitney's backyard.

Gil and Kelly take Lawson, Katie, Travis and the younger kids to Gatlinburg. They head up to take ziplines however Judson, Jeb and Callie do not meet the weight requirement and are unable to take the ziplines. Kelly, Katie and Travis take the three to do gem-mining. Katie asks if there is a ring in there since she thinks that Travis wants one.

Callie reveals that they all thought that there was going to be a ring for Katie in one of them. Jeb and Callie both agree that would have been a perfect proposal plan. Travis reveals that he still has a year and half left of school but Katie thinks that he might propose sooner than that.

Gil reveals that he is trying to think the word engagement is something that he is going to pretend is down the road so they are going to wait and see. He just prays that it's a long time down the road. He adds that no one has talked to him yet.

Recap: A proposal to plan & Wedding to dos


Evan is still working on the engagement plan for Carlin and ends up meeting with Kelly and Erin. Callie reveals that her future brother-in-law doesn’t know everything.
Zach feels that he is against Evan meets up with Kelly and Erin since by the time that Callie gets married then they might have to do a marriage in Mars or an engagement in space.
Gil reveals that he knew that they were in trouble because it might be wee over the top. Kelly comes up with an idea to do the Maine lighthouse backdrop.
Erin reveals that the highlight of the proposal will be Carlin dancing with Evan. Gil and Kelly reveal that they don’t do much dancing so it’s going to be a first dance.
The family gathers for a cook-off with Zach, Erin and Lawson. They are making a chicken dish with a veggie on the side. They are having Callie, Ellie, Judson and Jeb judge on the taste and appearance.
Erin has her veggies pre-diced and cut up all as her brother, Zach puts it. Meanwhile Zach has made stuffed mushrooms and jalapeno chicken and Erin makes stuffed Chicken with rainbow of veggies. Lawson is looking to please the judges and just makes mac and cheese with fried chicken.
It’s time for the final scores and here they are:
1.      Erin with 69 points
2.      Lawson with 66 points
3.      Zach with 52 points
Zach reveals that the siblings have never been to a fancy dinner and don’t know anything about plating. Judson counters that the cooks should have made bacon and eggs.
Kelly has jumped the boat from engagement talks with Evan to wedding planning with Josie. Recently Josie finds the location that she wants to get married but is worried about the rain since she wants an outdoor wedding.
Zach and Whitney recently learned that they miscarried their third child. Chad and Erin load up their kids and head to Zach and Whitney’s home for a visit. Zach explain his children that they are going to plant a dogwood tree to show that life is there and it’s growing.
Zach reveals that it broke Bradley’s heart but he believes that Jesus will put another baby in mommy’s belly.
Whitney reveals that the tree will serve as a reminder that there not just bad times, but that God is always good to us.

Recap: Ultrasounds, Wedding Vows & a Bride to Be?


Whitney, Erin, Everly, Carlin and Josie gather at Zach and Whitney’s house for some food and fellowship. Whitney loves living so close to the family since the girls can take time and catch up. She reveals that she needs girl time. Erin gives an update about how it’s like to have three kids. She reveals that eighty percent of it is amazing and the twenty percent is harder and says that you will be wanting to pull out your hair. After they are finish, the girls plant some succulents and talk about the latest Bates news. Nathan is hoping to go to helicopter school while Trace wants to follow in Zach’s footsteps in the sheriff’s department. Erin reveals that she loves spending time with her sisters because they are her best friends. 

Kelly and Josie head to meet with a family friend, Kim Nafziger, who is helping plan Kelton and Josie’s wedding. There is so much to do in such a short amount of time.

Meanwhile, Katie and Carlin are heading to Springfield to visit Carlin’s boyfriend for his birthday. Carlin decides to write down many reasons why she loves Evan on the stack of cards. The girls head to play putt-putt with Evan’s family. Evan’s family are very serious and bring their own putters for the game. Both Carlin and Evan are competitive and will bug each other if they miss. The couple ends the game in a tie.

It’s time to have a 4d ultrasound of baby Kade so Gil and Kelly meet the expecting parents at the Over the Womb clinic. Tori is 27 weeks pregnant and saw the baby at 19 weeks along. She is excited to get a better view of the baby. The baby is still breech however the technician says that he still has plenty of time to turn around.

Erin reveals that Tori will make one of the best moms. Tori hopes that the baby will have hair since she had a lot of it however Bobby had none.

While Gil and Kelly are there, they meet up with Evan at El Molcajete for a talk. Evan and Carlin have been together for two years and have grown to love each other. Evan asked Gil’s permission to pop the question to Carlin. Gil waits a few moments before giving the okay to Evan. Evan is hoping to pop the question in September before Josie’s wedding in October.

Zach and Whitney are getting ready for their vow renewal and hopes that things will go smoothly but will see. The big day will take place in Hunter Valley Farms. Since Whitney’s parents, JC and Lynn, were not able to come to the wedding in December 2013 this vow renewal will be special for both couples.

Whitney shares that she made some decisions that she regrets when she was younger that led her down a lot of guilt, heartache and loneliness. She had hurt herself and her family. When she got older, she married Zach and the Lord was just dealing with her heart. She knew that she had to go home and make things right. She reveals that the burden was gone and starting a new life with her parents.

On the day of the renewal, Josie arrives to do her hair as Renee Miller arrives with the dress. Whitney does the first look with her parents and says that it was one of the most special things that she got to experience with her parents.

Brandon ends up doing a last-minute errand to get sand for the ceremony. The guest starts to arrive and it’s go time. The couple has written their own vows and renew commitments that they made four and half years ago. For the sand pouring ceremony, they include Zach’s parents and Whitney’s parents for it. They each have a different color of sand which has all the families coming together.
After the couple has their kiss, Whitney’s father comes up and prays for the couple. Everyone is tearing up and Whitney thanks everyone for being there. She also thanks God for allowing her parents to be there because they never thought that it would happen. 

During the reception Bradley makes a big announcement that Whitney has a baby in her stomach!
