Welcome to the Bates family blog! Gil and Kelly have been married since 1987 and have nineteen children. Twelve of the children are married. They have thirty-eight grandchildren with two on the way. They have two foster grandchildren.
It's so sad. Praying for Katie.🙏🏻 I'm glad she has her family for support, but this is still a very hard situation to be in.
ReplyDeleteNot sure taking accountability is the best heading. What about Travis betrays his wife, God, and vows or Travis breaks his wife's heart and throws his marriage vows to the wind for a fling?
ReplyDeleteI’m not going to lie, I didn’t see this one coming. Travis & Katie looked so happy together and both love their children so much! Every one of us is a fallible human being tho, and I’m supposing that someone at nursing school found him so good looking and an amazing guy so fell for him and he somehow lost self control…. I am praying for all of them, and believe that Travis is sincere in his apology, and that Katie will eventually by God’s grace be able to forgive and trust him again. He was a great dad to the kids, and they need him! I literally dreamt about them last night! By the way, I am not talking glibly about this. I had my husband cheat on me when our boys were 2 & 4 years old. It was by no means an easy road, but we stayed together and although we took a 5 year break from having more kids, we had 2 more after that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for acknowledging the situation. As a long-time fan, I've been questioning the articles I've seen. I didn't want to take it seriously until someone in the family (outside of Travis's actual post) spoke about it. My prayers are with not only Katie and the kids, but also with Travis. I hope that everyone can be patient with him. I'm not condoning his actions in any way (other than the "apology"), but he needs prayers for his redemption and repentance.

ReplyDeleteI am praying for the entire family. I hope that they are able to rebuild their marriage after this. I can't imagine how difficult this is for them, especially because they are in the public eye. I pray that the public will give them their privacy right now as they try to heal.
ReplyDeleteAnnouncing an affair as your wife announces the loss of their baby, isn't taking responsibility. It strikes me as a very malicious and mean thing to do ,intending to hurt his wife even deeper. I'm curious if she had the miscarriage before or after she found out about the affair. My prayers are with everyone involved, mainly Katie and the kids.

DeleteTravis was obviously busted so this isn't him taking accountability. This is him humiliating and embarrassing Katie publicly for the world to see.
