It's Thanksgiving and everyone is gathering at Papa Bill and Mama Jan's home in South Carolina. Both John/Alyssa and Zach/Whitney are already there and waiting for the rest of the family. Mama Jana doesn't think that you ever get ready for the chaos but having Thanksgiving there with all the children is a wonderful thing. She knows that the kids love it and want to keep coming but she doesn't know how much longer she can lift a turkey.
Papa Bill has insisted the boys help to build a barn. Kelly gets worried when she sees a accident waiting to happen. The boys are hoping to finished the project before they leave. Zach reveals that the family has a habit about starting a big project and leave right in the middle of it.
Kelton wants to ask Gil and Kelly's permission to court Josie so he pulls Evan aside to talk about pointers. Evan had recently asked Gil to court Carlin in the summer.
Nathan reveals that the boys were easy distracted with the girls walking over and the boys went off.
While the boys are working on the barn, the girls are getting ready with Thanksgiving. They pick pecans and help mama Jane make brownies. Kelly reveals that Mama Jane makes a quick fuss and clean house. She also adds that Mama Jane loves having the kids there.
The next day, Alyssa and Whitney are helping Mama Jane with supper. Mama Jane wants to know if Alyssa is planning to follow her parents' footsteps to have a baby every year. Alyssa says no because her body needs time to heal. She also adds that she is planning to stop after four if the fourth child is a baby girl. She reveals that it's the drama and she can't handle it.
During lunch, the girls bring out food for the workers. Zach reveals that he doesn't like to stop working for many things but for food that is a different question. During lunch, they start a competition to see who can climb the big tree in a short amount of time.
Nathan says that there are levels of crazy and his family loves to put crazy to the top level.
Gil and Kelly head to talk with Josie and Kelton for a relationship check in. Kelton says that they both feel that God is leading them forward the courtship however he wants to ease into it and ask for permission to make it official around the New Year.
The couple has been talking for three years but the relationship started to get serious early on. Gil pulled his daughter aside to see if she would be okay putting the breaks on the relationship until she got older. They ended up taking a break and Kelton stayed around. It had been one year since they got back together. Gil and Kelly gave their permission for the courtship.
Now that the barn is finished, the boys started a game of football. Mama Jane calls everyone in for dinner and they sit down and say what they are thankful for before eating.
Gil reveals that he is thankful for the Lord letting him grow up here and his parents. He is thankful for what they invest in him and his siblings. He is grateful for his parents still being there and praising God for all the family being together.
