Recap: Bates make the grade

Just 24 hours before the party, Kelly gets sick with a stomach bug and can't help the kids get ready. Carlin takes over with the help of everyone.

Carlin decided to make this the biggest grad party by posting a public invite to everyone. They had asked people to RSVP to an email address but the family did not have a chance to count up the number of guests via guest email.

Erin, Lawson, Tori and Carlin decide on the song "All Along" to sing at the party.
Carlin heads to Mount Moriah Camp to set up with friends and family. Tori jokes that the party was amazing because Bobby was there.

Ashley was able to attend the party without being  uncomfortable since her break up with Nathan. Gil and Kelly are both encourage that the former couple has more mature to be able handle this friendship.

Brandon manages to get the airline to put Michaella on another plane after their flight was delayed due to weather.

It's time to party to start and Carlin can't find her notes. She reveals that the parents didn't know what was happening but manages to find them in the van with extra time to spare.

The party has a few skits by the older kids and friends. Nathan has questions for Carlin and Trace. Carlin answers a question about who she aspires to be and she responses her father because of his faith.

Gil is so proud of his daughter and tears up. Trace revealed that he took over his brother's lawn car business and wants to be a trick rider at the Dixie Stampede but his parents wants to go college.

Carlin ended up taking classes for college during high school and will start school in the fall full term. Carlin wants to be able to travel and will be studying online for the first two years.

Carlin says that she and the rest of the family feel treasured that many of the fans came over.
