Welcome to the Bates family blog! Gil and Kelly have been married since 1987 and have nineteen children. Twelve of their children have been married. One of their children are in a courtship. They have twenty-eight grandchildren with four on the way. They have four children and eight grandchildren in heaven.
Hello there you guys, I just wanted to say congratulations on your nuptuiles, I love the show, I was thrilled to find out that the Bates family were getting their own show, I'm also a fan of the Duggars family and their show and that is how I first learned if the Bates. I really love the Christian values both families have, I wish more programs were as wholesome as 19 kids and counting and bringing up Bates. I am keeping both families in my prayers because I don't think it can be easy to have your lives made so public and so I'm praying that God gives you all the strength and wisdom to know how to handle all that comes with it. I also thought that since I myself have been married for 22 years come February I would give you two some hard learned tips to a successful marriage.. First make it a habit and rule to not go to bed angry, that's not my idea that's from God, its very true that you should discuss whatever it is that you feel upset about and not allow things to fester. Another thing is to not disagree with one another in front of others, if one of you feel like the other is wrong about something don't let it show, that is a conversation to be had in private.. Y'all are a team now and cheering each other on will help you grow as friends as well as husband and wife.. Good luck guys and thanks for sharing your lives with us..
