Welcome to the Bates family blog! Gil and Kelly have been married since 1987 and have nineteen children. Twelve of the children are married. They have thirty-three grandchildren with five on the way. They have two foster grandchildren.

ReplyDeleteQuestion for Kelly! So I have 5 kids and homeschooling for us is a chore! I'm mentally exhausted by the end of the day! How do you homeschool 19 and stay calm? Do you do unschooling or a full lesson plan like abeka curriculum? Right now I have ages 11, 10, 8, 5 and 2. I start out doing homeschool with the two 4th graders and integrate my 2nd grader eventually once I get the 4th graders going and then at the end of the day I teach my kindergartener. And my 2 year old he's another story trying to keep him off the table and out of stuff while I try to teach. I seriously feel it's a circus or a monkey show most days! Would love your advice!
