More wedding photos of Nathan and Esther

Since we shared Nathan and Esther's first wedding photo on October 25th, many have been asking for more.
Esther's wedding dress was designed by Renee who has done many dresses for the Bates girls and daughter-in-law.
Nathan is the second son to be married.
Esther and Nathan both had their own grand entrance to the wedding. Nathan went by plane while Esther went by a carriage.
After the wedding ceremony.
We love this photo of Esther and her dress.
It is now time to party.

Recap: A bride, a groom, and a love that’s true

With only three days before Josie and Kelton’s big day, the family has a lot to do. Renee arrives at the home with Josie’s dress for the final fitting. Callie reveals that she is excited to see the dress however it comes with mixed emotions since her sister is about to get married.
Josie thinks that her hips are too big however Kelly tells her that they don’t and guys enjoy them big.
The younger girls head outside to spray paint the lanterns that were left over from Tori’s wedding. They are happy to be able to help with the wedding preparations.
Josie wanted a metal hoop for her wedding. It will be backdrop for the ceremony. Gil and Lawson head over to pick it up. Lawson ends up sitting in the back to make sure that it stays up. Gil refuses to do it with Lawson driving. Gil jokes that if his son falls out then to make sure that the thing stays in so Josie can get married with it.
It’s the day before the wedding and Kelton’s family is setting up for the rehearsal dinner. The Bates had offered to help but Kelton’s dad assures them that he has enough assistance from the ladies in his family. Kelly reveals that their hearts went out to Kelton’s father because his wife is in heaven. He was left to planning the entire event without her.
The family and friends gather together to fellowship and celebrate Josie and Kelton. Alyssa was Josie’s partner growing up and kicks off the speeches.
Kelton chose Bobby to say a few words and talks about when Gil and Kelly told Kelton and Josie that it was time to stop talking a few years ago. Kelton told Bobby about how crushed and in tears he was. Kelton claims that God made him get close to Josie so Bobby could meet Tori and that was okay with him.
Later that evening, Kelton joins his groomsemen to hang out at Frank’s Barbershop. Evan decides to get his nose nails and Evan claims that it did not hurt as bad as he thought that it would. Kelly and the girls have their nails done.
It’s the morning of the wedding, the girls head to the rental house to get their hair and makeup done. Kelton and the boys are getting ready at the apartment.
Kelton receives a call from Kelly saying that there is some bad traffic on the interstate due to a wreck and most of the guests are going to be late. They make the decision to postpone the wedding by an hour to give the guests time to arrive.
The wedding is finally able to start, and Kelton begins to cry the minute that his father walks up. He says that his emotions have been building up all day. He starts bawling when Josie comes walking up to him.

Gil leads the ceremony as Josie says that it was so sweet that her dad could do this. Lawson performs an original song that he wrote for the happy couple. The ceremony is about to be over and it is time for the first kiss. Josie reveals that it was a lot of pressure and made it a little scary. Kelton wanted it to look sweet and it was not long that he was fussed at by both side of the family. Kelly reveals that she could see the joy in both faces and the picture will be in her mind forever.
It’s time to take photos while everyone goes inside to cool down. Even through it’s October, it was very hot. Josie decides to smash the cake in her new husband’s face. They load up in their getaway car and head to the Bahamas.

Preparing for the Big day (part 1)

As we (Brandon and Michaela) prepare for the wedding that is now just a few weeks away, we continue to be amazed at how the Lord has been bringing various details together. There is definitely a lot more involved in planning a wedding than either one of us originally thought :), but the process has been a fun, new adventure as we’ve been able to learn more about each other, and discover how our tastes and preferences complement each other.
As we look back at our relationship up to this point, and how the Lord has brought everything about, we are beginning to see more clearly that a relationship of this kind is incomplete without 2 things – a genesis and a revelation. Yes, these are the names of the first and last books of the Bible; but if you look at the meanings of these words, it can be seen that a relationship, as God intended it to be, cannot be complete without either of them. The word “genesis” means “beginning,” and the word “revelation” means “something revealed or disclosed… as of something not before realized.” It’s obvious to all that a relationship needs a “genesis”… that is, it cannot take place if it never has a beginning. Everyone that has ever entered into a relationship has obviously started somewhere.
For us, the “genesis” of our relationship officially happened on November 28th, 2014… and what a day that was! :) After permission was granted for our courtship to begin, each of us have been genuinely grateful to the Lord in bringing about this relationship in the way He did and in the time He did.

Since the time that our courtship progressed to an engagement last April, there has been a shift in what we talk about. Up to that point our conversations had been more focused on our past… our upbringing, our convictions, our struggles. In other words, we talked a lot about where we came from, and that was so incredibly helpful in deepening our relationship. However, that was only the beginning (the first part) of what a complete relationship really needs. The second is a revelation… the revelation of a mystery.

(To be continued – What life has been like since our engagement began.)

Is there a Duggar/Bates wedding on the way?

ET sat down with Erin Paine for an interview. Erin and Chad were married in November 2013 and their special day aired on 19 kids and counting. Erin and Chad appear on Bringing up Bates.
Chad and Erin are 23 weeks pregnant with their first child but have miscarried three babies in the past two years. Erin reveals what her fears about her current pregnancy and her past miscarriages. She also talked about a wedding between the Bates and Duggars along with Jill Dillard's advice to Erin.
ETonline asked "After you spoke about your [miscarriage] struggles on the show, did you get a lot of support from women who had been through something similar?"
Erin responded " I think that was one of the main things that helped me and Chad get through it. Hearing stories from ladies and families who have been through hard situations that were even worse than ours in some cases, really made us take our eyes off of ourselves and put them on the people who were hurting around us. I honestly had no idea how many people face the problem that we were going through, and it really opened our eyes. And it was so encouraging to hear different stories and different words of encouragement that people shared. It just made it a lot easier for both of us, I think."
ETonline asked"It's something that people don't really talk about, did you consider not sharing it on the show?"
Erin responded "I'm not going to lie, it's very difficult to talk about, just because it's something that hurts when you do share it. Me and Chad prayed about it. We felt like, if it can encourage someone else that's been through something similar that's facing a hard time, then I'd be willing to open up our lives. Even though I didn't know how people would take that, or if it would be too personal, but everybody was so supportive and so helpful during that time. I'm so grateful that we did decide to share."
ETonline asked "Now that you're getting further along in your pregnancy, do you feel like you're able to relax a little bit at this point?"
Erin told The first three months, I hate to say this, but I almost lived in fear. Chad was constantly comforting me, saying, ‘Erin, you just gotta trust the Lord. This is something that is not in your hands. We're doing everything we can to make sure that the baby is healthy and we're following everything the doctor [tells us] but, at the same time, you don't have control over this.' So that was really, really hard for me, looking back and thinking, ‘What if it happens again? I'm gonna be absolutely crushed.' … It was such a relief every time I could hear the baby's heartbeat. And now that I'm 23 weeks, feeling the baby kick is the highlight of my day. I get so excited because it's like a confirmation – the baby's okay!
ETonline asked I know that you're a very accomplished musician, and you give music lessons. Can you tell what kind of music your baby likes?
Erin responded: For some reason when I play really upbeat, fast music, I always feel the baby kicking.
ETonline asked: Jill Duggar is also expecting, has she given you any advice?
Erin said: Yes, Jill Duggar has been such an encouragement throughout the pregnancy. I text her every once in a while asking a question, and she's so sweet. She always gives advice. Last week she was sharing to try to portion my food and eat this many vegetables and drink this much water. So she's a big help, just knowing that she's been through the midwife classes. She's a good friend.
ETonline question: Do you think it's possible that one of your siblings would grow up and marry one of the Duggars?
Erin answered: I personally think, hey you have 19 kids on each side, I think it's almost inevitable somewhere down the line. As much as we see each other, I think there's going to be an attraction somewhere. I don't know where yet, but I think it's gonna happen.
Watch the clip above to see Erin and Chad meeting their brand-new nephew Bradley for the first time, and wondering how that will affect them given their losses. Tune in to Bringing Up Bates tonight on UP at 9 p.m. ET to see the joyful way that Erin and Chad reveal her pregnancy to her parents.
