Eight engagement posts

Fresh off the news of Katie and Travis's engagement announcement, we thought that it would be wonderful to recap the Bates engagement announcements. 

Erin was the first one to get engaged to Chad Paine on August 5, 2013. We shared the special news on October 7, 2013 on this post. 

Zach and Whitney would later get engaged on September 12, 2013. We also share the special news on October 7, 2013

John and Alyssa would get engaged on January 16, 2014.

Brandon and Michaella were the fourth ones to get engaged on April 15, 2015.

Kelton and Josie got engaged on June 19, 2018 nearly three years after Brandon and Michaella.

Carlin and Evan got engaged in September 2018 just three months after her sister Josie got engaged

Bobby and Tori got engaged in September 2017. 

Travis and Katie are the newest ones to get engaged and it will be intersenting to see who gets engaged next. Will it be Lawson or Nathan?

During the last weekend of Winter, Brandon surprised his wife with a trip to DC where they visited Cherry Blossom trees which means a lot to the couple.

If you don't remember, Brandon proposed to Michaella under a Cherry Blossom tree.

11 months of marriage

Brandon and Michaella are celebrating their 11th month of marriage! 

 We are currently working on the covers for August and they will be up on July 24th!

Ten months of marriage!

Brandon and Michaella are celebrating their 10th month of marriage. It is hard to believe that they are getting closer to their first year of marriage.

Why do we do separate birthday blogs for double birthdays?
We decided from the very beginning to do separate birthdays for the double birthdays. They are their own person and should have their own blogs

When did Brandon and Michaella get engaged?
Michaella actually revealed on April 13, 2016 that they got engaged on April 13, 2015!

How many children have Chad and Erin had?
Chad and Erin have been pregnant five times. The first three babies joined in heaven while Carson was born a month early. They are currently expecting Brooklyn due in August

How many children does John and Alyssa planning to have?
John and Alyssa are planning to have six children if not eight. They just celebrated their daughter's first birthday.

There’s lots to do before 800 guests arrive to celebrate and see Michaella and Brandon say, ‘I do’ and finally share their first kiss.

Recap: Headed to the Altar

Brandon and Michaella met at a homeschool conference. Michaella prayed from the moment that she met Brandon that she could be his wife.
Back in September 2014, Michaella headed to Texas to surprised Brandon with a visit. The couple had decided to wait to hold hands until their engagement. 
In November 2014, Brandon heads to the family home to get to know Michaella's family. They head up to visit family members for Thanksgiving.
Just 3 months later, Brandon takes Michaella's sisters (Tori, Carlin and Josie) to look for a ring for Michaella but decides to design a ring himself for her.
The boys decide to take Brandon out for Bowling. Michaella thinks that it is sweet that her brothers care for her that much.
Just one month later, Gil and Kelly meet up with Brandon's parents in Chicago with Brandon and Michaella. They have a great time and Brandon asked Gil if he could ask Michaella to marry him.
Brandon arranges Michaella to come and see him in DC where the engagement happens on April 13th!
As the wedding is about to start, Brandon and Michaella have only been engaged for four months and the family is finding it hard to see Michaella get married and move to Chicago.
