We have a new photo of Michaella and her nephew Henry.

Henry is currently still in NCIU but is doing well. Late last night, we shared an emotional update about Erin Paine. 

Michaella opens up about Fostering

Fostering is tender and complex, beautiful and broken, heartbreaking and healing. It's often short but the love we have for these precious boys is real and deep. It is a privilege to provide a home for them and to offer love, safety, and stability in the midst of their story. They have walked through so much for such tiny little people, and stepping into a brand new world is scary and unknown.

We know they are away from everything familiar, and we feel deeply honored to be part of their healing and to show them they are treasured, and love them with all we have. We would be so grateful for your prayers for healing, peace, and comfort of knowing they are safe and cherished.

Addallee graduates

We are so excited to share that Addallee has graduated from homeschool this year.

With January right around the corner, it's time to release our January birthday cover. The family have five birthdays.

Out of the five birthdays, there are three grandchildren.

12 weddings

Gil and Kelly now have twelve Bates weddings in the books. 

The first wedding took place in November 2013 and the most recent one took place in October 2023. 

The Bates family have five sons married. Zach was the first one to get married in December 2013 followed by Nathan in October 2021. Lawson got married in May 2022 and a few months later Trace got married. A year later, Jackson got married in October 2023. 

The Bates have seven of their daughters married. Erin got married first in November 2013 followed by Alyssa in May 2014. Michaella got married in August 2015. Tori got married in December 2017. Josie got married in October 2018. Carlin got married in May 2019. Katie got married in December 2021. 

Thirty club August update

Now that Nathan has turned 30, it's time to update our 30 year old cover.

Did you know only five of the Bates children have turned 30?

We will be back in September to update the cover again when Whitney turns 30.

Mother's Day 2023

 Happy Mother's day to the moms that have babies in heaven. 

You are still a mother and should be celebrated this Mother's Day! We are thinking and praying for you.

Zoo trip 2022

Seven at 30 and above

It's time to update our cover for the children and children-in-law that are thirty and above. We first did this update on November 22, 2019 shorty after John turned thirty years old. We also updated this cover back in May 2021.

Chad was the first child-in-love turned thirty in April 2017. He is currently 35 years old.

Zach was the first child to turned thirty in December 2018. He is currently 33 years old and will celebrate his 34th birthday in December 2022.

Brandon was the second child-in-love turned thirty in September 2019. He is currently 33 years old. 

John was the third child-in-love turned thirty in November 2019. He is about to turn 33 years old in a few weeks. 

Michaella was the second child to turned thirty in January 2020. She is currently 32 years old. She will celebrate her 33rd birthday in January 2023.

Erin was the third child to turned thirty in May 2021. She is currently 31 years old.

Lawson was the fourth child to turned thirty in July 2022. He is currently 30 years old. 

This time next year the Bates will have nine children and children-in-love when Nathan celebrates his 30th birthday in August followed by Whitney celebrates her 30th birthday in September.

Chad and Erin's daughter is due to arrive in January 2022 so be sure to stay tune for the birth announcement.
