Recap: Baby makes five?

With Brooklyn's due date getting closer, Erin is starting to get worried because of everything that has happen with her miscarriages and Carson's arrival. Kelly is worried about her daughter because is not eating or sleeping good.

Back in May 2015, Erin's delivery with Carson was very painful, so Erin wants to make sure that she gets the epidural this time. Tori doesn't think that her sister will have anymore kids if she doesn't get the epidural.

Every week, the small family Skype with Nana and the family. They headed to Beech Creek studio to work on her lullaby CD which has been released today.

Back before Erin married Chad, her cooking skills were nonexistent but she has become to be a wonderful chef. Chad and Erin are thinking about getting a dog for their family. Erin sat down with her mom to look at puppies. Erin decides that she want to get a puppy. Erin finds the puppy that she likes and her mother goes with her. She ends up buying the puppy and her husband is surprised. The puppy is covered in fleas and is super cute.

Kelly and her daughters head to get a gift basket for their sister. Kelly surprises her husband by telling him that she told the girls not to worried about but is happy that they did that for Erin.

With Erin's due date right around the corner, Kelly and Erin take  the kids to the zoo. Erin is happy to see a gorilla pregnant. Kelly gets everyone slushies due to the weather. Lawson knows the difference between when mom or dad are running the trip. Kelly goes and gets things for them while Gil brings a jug of water.

The night before Brooklyn's arrival, Erin has some contractions. She loads up and heads to the hospital. The hospital only lets, Chad, Kelly, Chad's mom, Katie and Tori to be in the room. Katie tapes the birth due to the fact the crew is not allowed in the hospital room. Erin gets her epidural and the birth goes smoother.  Everyone is emotional with her arrival. Carson is finally able to meet his sister.

Recap: Nashville Nights and country campouts

Lawson takes Tori and Carlin on a new job site to learn how to do the machinery. Lawson is hoping to give his business to his siblings so he can be focusing on music.
Tori knows that her parents aren't going to hand them everything so they have to do things for themselves.
Lawson gets a little worried about the girls are learning but they managed to catch up. Lawson thinks that his sisters learned things pretty well.
Jackson, Warden and Isaiah are heading to the fort to spend the night. Kelly gives the food while Ellie, Callie, Judson and Jeb join to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with the help from Gil.
Kelly reveals that they are over the camping days but will do it for their kids. Gil says that it was a prefect way to end the day.
Lawson heads to Nashville to preform at the CMA Fest. He had a great time and everyone loved his music. (Did you hear when his new CD is coming out? Click here to see)
Lawson  has been talking about doing a tour and Zach thinks that his brother is a little culture shock and pressing on it. Lawson says that he hopes that his music will speak encouragement and stay true  to who he is.

Recap: The Growing Paine

Josie and Katie are getting ready for their driving test so Lawson, Carlin and Kelly take them for practice. The girls got their permits and excited about driving. Gil is a little worried about the girls driving but Josie says that she got it in the bag.

Katie has a little more confident while driving but a few screams are let out because she drove in the wrong lane. Josie takes it a little more slow. Both girls agree that it's more harder than what it looks
.
Chad and Erin are getting ready for Carson to turn one. Michaella is helping since she came in from Chicago along with Chad's mom and brother and sister. The couple says that they are enjoying being parents. Chad feels that the first year has gone by fast.

Gil says that the 1st birthdays are great but they are getting a little expensive. He and Kelly joke about stop giving the older married kids gifts for their birthdays to give it to the grandbabies.

The guest arrives and watch the younger kids play with the Bump N Bounce Body Bumpers.
The family enjoys racing with three legs or four legs. The family gathers to watch Carson eat his cupcake but due to fact that they haven't introduce him to sweets. Bradley eats the cupcake.

“It was a fun birthday party,” shares Gil. “I don’t know that Carson’s going to remember it, but it will be one that we never forget.”

Recap: Bates make the grade

Just 24 hours before the party, Kelly gets sick with a stomach bug and can't help the kids get ready. Carlin takes over with the help of everyone.

Carlin decided to make this the biggest grad party by posting a public invite to everyone. They had asked people to RSVP to an email address but the family did not have a chance to count up the number of guests via guest email.

Erin, Lawson, Tori and Carlin decide on the song "All Along" to sing at the party.
Carlin heads to Mount Moriah Camp to set up with friends and family. Tori jokes that the party was amazing because Bobby was there.

Ashley was able to attend the party without being  uncomfortable since her break up with Nathan. Gil and Kelly are both encourage that the former couple has more mature to be able handle this friendship.

Brandon manages to get the airline to put Michaella on another plane after their flight was delayed due to weather.

It's time to party to start and Carlin can't find her notes. She reveals that the parents didn't know what was happening but manages to find them in the van with extra time to spare.

The party has a few skits by the older kids and friends. Nathan has questions for Carlin and Trace. Carlin answers a question about who she aspires to be and she responses her father because of his faith.

Gil is so proud of his daughter and tears up. Trace revealed that he took over his brother's lawn car business and wants to be a trick rider at the Dixie Stampede but his parents wants to go college.

Carlin ended up taking classes for college during high school and will start school in the fall full term. Carlin wants to be able to travel and will be studying online for the first two years.

Carlin says that she and the rest of the family feel treasured that many of the fans came over.

Recap: Who's in charge?

Gil and Kelly left for a little trip to the Niagara Falls for three days leaving the older kids in charge. The little kids are working on school while Josie, Nathan and Lawson are cleaning up.

Both Gil and Kelly love to take trips together. They went to Hawaii in December and later went to the Grand Canyon in 2015. Gil decided to surprised Kelly with a special trip to Niagara Falls for Valentine's day.

The family is hit unexpectedly with a bug but they managed to pull thou.

Chad and Erin head for her 20 weeks pregnant check up with Dr. Vick and are happy to learn that their daughter is doing well. Since Carson's birth was very fast, Erin wants to have an epidural so she can eat cheesecake.

The kids sits down to do a video chat with their parents. The boys head to Zach and Whit's house to spend some time together. They end up having a movie night with Zach and Whitney. Since Gil and Kelly don't have a tv in their home but Zach and Whit do.

The parents finally return home in time to take Ellie riding for her birthday. The family has eight horses which some they rescued.

Gil's horse is not having an easy time obeying and the kids start laughing at Gil while he tries to get the horse in line.

Recap: Birthdays and boyfriends

The family is getting ready to celebrate Allie's 1st birthday. Kelly reveals that birthdays are special since they come once a year. Gil jokes that they feel like they are coming 25 times and that's once every other week which creates a big party. Kelly says that they are a partying family.

When they get to John and Alyssa's house, they noticed that it's very clean and when you have the family there it's hard to keep it that way.

The oldest children decided to help Alyssa get ready for the party. As they are decorating the strawberries with white chocolate sauce, Alyssa gets a little upset with her family since they keep eating them.

Gil comes up with the idea to take the kids to the park to give Alyssa some space. The boys give Kelly a scream since they are doing some tricks on the swings.

The family heads over to meet the Smith Family. Tori is currently in a relationship with Bobby Smith. Bobby has two little sisters which causes Tori to worry that this will be overwhelming for the family.
Back when John and Alyssa were courting, Tori used to be their chaperone but Alyssa had to requested a new chaperone. Tori was so strict about them getting to close to each other but now that she is in a relationship, Bobby and Tori often link arms and get a little closer than what she would allow.

Tori is happy that Bobby is very good with kids. Zach warns that if you married a guy, who is good with little kids then they are normally a kid at heart which Whitney agrees to that.

The only thing keeping Tori and Bobby from getting married is that they are still a year or two away from graduating school. They both want to finished their education.

The family comes back to the house and find that everything is ready. Alyssa went all out for her daughter's first birthday but doesn't think that her family appreciates the elegance.

The family enjoys time with John's side of the family. Some of the siblings would love to know if Alyssa is expecting baby #2 and she's not pregnant. She and John agree with only having six to eight children but not 19 like her mom.

Recap: Bloopers, Outtakes and Mishaps, Oh my!

The family sits down and talks about their outtakes and Bloopers on the show. Erin feels that the family is very loud but no one notice it because you have to be able to talk to each other. Alyssa agrees with her sister.

Lawson gets teased a lot by the family and since he is the best talker he can handle it. The family says that their teasing is out of fun and love.


The family enjoys being together to make memories that will last a long time. Katie reveals that her sister, Callie, starts laughing and then is not able to stop laughing because of it.


The family says that Tori is the loudest when she laughs because the neighbors that live close to live know what she sounds like. 


When the interviews happen, the kids doesn't always understand the questions that they are being asked.


For example, this happen between a person asking Jackson a question about Oral Hygiene which is your teeth.
         Interviewer: “Is oral hygiene important with your family?”
        Jackson Bates: “What hygiene?”
        Interviewer: “Oral hygiene”
        Jackson Bates: “Nobody here wear high jeans. They all wear ‘em low.”


What are the Bates' top three favorite words/phrases? “Epic,” “Awkward,” and “oh my stars."

Recap: Tough Decisions and Large Ambitions

Zach and Whitney get ready for Chad and Erin for dinner. Bradley melts his aunt's heart when he gives Carson a small kiss.  Whitney and Erin talk about having girls and how the boys will react with it. Zach asked if Chad can make one for Bradley. Bradley gives his cousin a hug. Zach gives Bradley a taste of cold whip.

While Gil and Kelly talk about a birthday party for one of the boys, Nathan comes into talk to Gil and Kelly about his courtship. Click here to see the status of their relationship.

Lawson heads to work on his music career. Lawson gets advice on his music. Lawson talks about his upcoming tour

The boys head to cut down some wood to keep the cost down. Nathan reveals that his father tries to include the little boys in a lot of what they do. The girls reveal that it is mostly the boys together. He gives the glasses to Jeb.

Nathan and Lawson talk about what they went through as child. The boys get into a competition. Lawson helps Jeb with his cutting wood. When Gil brings the truck and runs over Judson's bike.
Judson sees his bike and starts to get upset. Gil gives his son a hug and promises to replace it which he does. Judson is happy again.

Recap: A lovely Day

The family is preparing for their I love you day. The family gets their first couple which is Nathan and Ashley. (See their courtship announcement)

Gil and Kelly head out to have lunch with Nathan and Ashley. Ashley talks about how they met and what she liked and admit that they both have concerns.  Kelly admits that she is proud of her son and Ashley and share what is going on.

Tori opens about Bobby right as John, Alyssa and Allie arrive to the house. Allie is about ten months old. Next to arrive is Brandon and Michaella and they are so  excited to be home.

Kelly calls a family meeting to talk about the meeting. The boys have been told that they are cooking.
Next to arrive is Bobby. Tori reveals that Bobby only has two sisters while Tori has 18 brothers and sisters.

Lawson admits that it is a little weird that everyone is bringing into the house. Kelly says that it is the Bates mafia.

Mama Jane and Papa Bill arrived to the house and it was super nice to see them. Bobby gets introduce to them.

Everyone sets up for the party even the little boys. Kelly ends up with the boys since Gil doesn't normally cook.

The family passes out gifts and Erin hands out the gift which had a baby announcement. (See that announcement)

The family is surprised that Chad and Erin were expecting.

The boys are in a competition where Gil, John, Chad and Brandon vs Lawson, Nathan, Bobby and Trace. The boys served their siblings food.

Papa Bill announces that the single guys wins!

Preview: Bates Boys Birthday Bash

It’s Trace and Jeb’s birthday and there’s only one rule: no girls allowed! The brothers, who share a birthday and a special bond, plan a party for Bates boys only complete with go carts and ice cream! Meanwhile, Erin and Chad travel to South Carolina to speak to and encourage a group of young girls about female empowerment.
