Kelton is celebrating his 29th birthday while Papa Bill is celebrating his 86th birthday.

Fourth of July

The Bates have returned to Papa Bill and Mama Jane's house for Fourth of July. This is the first time that Layla has gone to the farm due to COVID. Fourth of July holds a special place in the Bates family because it's also Kelton and Papa Bill's birthdays. 

We hope that you all had a wonderful Fourth of July. We also hope that Papa Bill had a wonderful birthday.

Two months of marriage

As we were writing a Bates family update for the Duggar family, we remember that we needed to post a second month of marriage for Evan and Carlin! 


The couple celebrated their first Fourth of July as husband and wife. The couple also has a new niece, Willow Kristy.

Celebrating Fourth of July & Update!

We have a new photo of John and Alyssa with their three little ones.

From Alyssa: Thank you for all the prayers and concern for me over the last few weeks. I have had a lot of you messaging me asking for an update on my health.
After visiting my doctor again, adjusting my medication, and wearing a 24 hour holtor monitor (to see what was going on with my heart) I have been scheduled to do the Electrophysiolo

gy Study (EP Study) surgery again. An EP Study test the electrical activity of your heart to find where an arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeat) is coming from. Once it’s found my doctor will be able to ablate that area by freezing or burning those spots. I had this surgery in April to fix my arrhythmia however, it has not been successful. My doctor said my arrhythmia is one of the worst he has seen.
I was diagnosed with super ventricular tachycardia (SVT) in February. There are many forms of tachycardia so I wasn’t diagnosed with AVNRT until April. I am still on a medication to try and help regulate my heart rate until the surgery.
It’s hard to explain so many details on here so I will try to get a YouTube video out with all the details.
I am very grateful and thankful for each of you, my doctor, family who has prayed for me and helped out when needed, and my husband for being my constant rock! THANK YOU! 😘

Fourth of July brings two celebrations for the Bates family as they celebrate Papa Bill and Kelton's birthdays! 

All about Brooklyn: 23 months old

Chad and Erin's middle child is just one month away from celebrating her second birthday. This past month she celebrate both her second Father's Day and her second Fourth of July. She learned that her aunt (Josie) is getting married to Kelton Balka.

Tomorrow we will be sharing new photos of the little girl and her baby sister so stay tune.

Hello July!

The Bates family has two birthdays this month. Lawson and Kelton will celebrate their birthdays this month.

The family will also celebrate fourth of July.

Bobby and Tori have four months until their baby will arrive. If you miss the baby's gender and name announcement, be sure to check out this link.

Bobby and Tori will celebrate their seven month of marriage on July 16th.

Brooklyn will celebrate her 23rd month of life. Lexi will celebrate her 18th month of life. Zoey and Everly will celebrate their fourth month of life.

We are saying goodbye to July!

This month, Lawson celebrated his 25th birthday. They also celebrated Papa Bill's birthday. The family also celebrated America's birthday. The family moved into their new church building.

Brooklyn ended up having surgery on her finger but is recovering nicely.




Bringing Up Bates is getting closer to their season finale and there has not been any word about season 7 but we will keep you update.

All about Allie: 15 months old

Allie Jane is now 15 months old

Allie has a new little cousin, Kaci Lynn Bates, whom was born on June 20, 2016. She is about to have another new baby girl cousin, Brooklyn Elise Paine, later this month. Allie just celebrated her second Fourth of July

The family only has one birthday this month which is Lawson. They celebrate fourth of July. Bringing up Bates keeps airing this month. Allie turns three months old this month while Carson turns two months old and then Bradley turns nine months old.
