Welcome to the Bates family blog! Gil and Kelly have been married since 1987 and have nineteen children. Twelve of their children have been married. One of their children are in a courtship. They have twenty-eight grandchildren with four on the way. They have four children and eight grandchildren in heaven.
Last night, we sadly shared the news of the Bringing Up Bates. We do have more information about it to share.
Gil and Kelly revealed that their contract with UpTv had not been renewed.

Tv is not the same anymore and older I get less tv I watch b/c the shows are not has good has they where in the 80’s and 90’s. I will miss watching you guys but I will still ready everything that is on Facebook about you guys. You guys made my week and now there is nothing great to watch.

ReplyDeleteI'm canceling that channel! Why would I pay additional 7.00 per month and not see my favorite show. Huge mistake! Everything else on that channel is reruns, can see else where or not worth seeing any way. I literally only watch UPTV for the Bates.

ReplyDeleteHeartbroken. I literally just searched your show 15 minutes ago, on Xfinity, to see if there were any upcoming episodes. This show was mental medicine for me. I always felt good after watching and had a better outlook on the world.

ReplyDeleteThis is more than just upsetting. The Bates family are a wonderful,inspirational and a family that kids as well as adults can look up to. In today's world where the majority of shows on TV as well as cable aren't fit for anyone to watch. People are worse for watching and wasting their time. When a show like the Bates have it makes people better and inspired even if it's only for a short time every week. UpTV you really messed up. I know there are smarter execs out there that will run to their door and pick up their show. We got your backs Bates fam! ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it is a huge mistake to take a family off f tv who represents everything good. Especially in today’s world where we are surrounded by constant disfunction. Bate’s family represents a close relationship with god, love, family values, power of forgiveness & so many other things.

ReplyDeleteWas very disappointed to hear the news. Definitely will be canceling our UPTV subscription. Do you have a list of all the families YouTube channels someplace? I love seeing the weekly or biweekly updates from the various grown kids.... don't want to miss any since we won't have your show any more. My daughter's and I have enjoyed watching the show together for years. Sad that our family tradition is coming to an end. God Bless you all!!!

I am shocked honestly shocked the network didn't kill the show when Josh Duggar was convicted... I wonder if the Amazon exposé on the IBLP had. Anything. To do with it...kind of late to blame Josh Duggar...

Not only has this family brought me so much joy, it got me to visit the fine state of Tennessee and as of 2 years ago, I live here. This show has meant the world to me and without a doubt it is the best show on t.v. If UPTV is looking for a more wholesome family, they will not find one. Can't believe this has been taken away from us. Praying another network picks up Bringing Up Bates.

ReplyDeleteMy entire family loved the show Ages 6 to 61,I am very sad to hear it's been taken off the air, We could not wait to watch the next episode. Now I will be canceling my subscription. There's no other show that compares to this one it's been positive uplifting and we are going to miss it tremendously, I had been patiently waiting for the new season Only to be crushed to hear it's no longer being shown.

There is a large faction in the US that are non-Christians, atheists and even satanists who hate Christian values & beliefs, especially concerning LGBT. Like Katie Joy (Without A Crystal Ball) on Youtube with 214K followere & on Instagram with 80K, who almost daily trashes the Bates as well as the Duggars & the IBLP. They've all been just waiting for any reason to get "Bringing Up Bates" cancelled.
