Recap: A wedding to plan and fun with the fam

Since everyone is in town for the wedding, the adults take all the grandchildren to the Muse Knoxville. Whitney says that when there is a big event in the family, they want to make sure together and have the kids and grandchildren play together. As the kids play, Kelly catches up with Brandon and Michaella. As many of you know that Brandon has a children’s book in the works and is currently off to an editor. Michaella sells the blankets that she makes and travels with Brandon for work.

Kelly would love to see Brandon and Michaella to move to Tennessee since the couple are not going to make Chicago home forever. Kelly admits that she would love all of the kids to live in the same area but still is able to drop a hint. A lot of the kids say can we go to Erin’s house, can we go to Alyssa’s house, can we go to Zach’s house which shows that the bond is still there.

Gil takes Addallee, Ellie and Callie to Erin’s home to do a craft project. While Erin makes cards with the kids, Papa is in charge of baby Everly. Gil reveals that there are not that many times where he gets to have Everly by himself since Kelly loves to rob/hold the babies all the time.

The boys are heading to the church building. The sheetrock is up but now it’s time to work on the cosmetics. (We are excited to share the church is pretty much finished as of early March 2019)

Trace is working part time with Chad and part-time as a deputy sheriff. Nathan is currently spending a lot of time in the Philippines where they are working to put in a 9-1-1 and radio communication system.  The country is also in need of a helicopter system to transport patients so Nathan plans to go to helicopter school. Nathan’s goal is taking care of folks’ physical and spiritual needs through his mission works.

Jackson reveals that the older boys are doing a lot of things and girlfriends are on the backburner. Nathan and Lawson are world travelers and Trace is slow, steady and Mr. Consistent. He is available.

Erin, Carlin, and Kelly head to Zach and Whitney’s house to discuss the wedding plans. Kelly brings food and Zach shows up. Whitney says that anytime that there is food around, Zach shows up and Zach agrees with it.

Erin ends up volunteering her husband to build a stage out of scrap lumber and a bunch of decorations. Chad gets that blindside during an interview.

Carlin is planning to have a father/daughter dance at her wedding and a first dance with Evan. Kelly shares that in the past, they didn’t involve in dancing because they wanted to avoid that for the unmarried children. Carlin has wanted to do this for a while and so Gil and Carlin are taking dance lessons. Carlin is excited to be marrying Evan but will miss her family when they get married.
