1. Kelly Bates gave birth to all 19 of Gil and her children.
2. Kelly gave birth to no sets of twins.
3. There are 10 girls and 9 boys.
4. The Bates children all learn music instruments, usually piano and violin. Some of them are able to play more. They are very talented, especially Zach, Erin, and Lawson.
5. The Bates children also all learn how to sing.
6. They attend a small Baptist church called Still Waters Baptist Church.
7. They homeschool their children.
8. They are very good friends with another large family, the Duggars. The Duggars are shown on the TLC show, "19 Kids and Counting".
9. They will have a reality TV show on TLC in June.
10. Some of the older Bates kids: Zach, Nathan, and Lawson, enjoy Bluegrass music.
11. They have their own tree service.
12. The space between their children is 13 to 18 months apart.
