Night on the Town

Night on the Town

by KELLY on MARCH 24, 2013
IMG_2796    Chad couldn’t make it to Tennessee to see Erin for Valentine’s Day, so he sent 3 dozen roses and a poem that he wrote, “101 Reasons I Love Erin!”
But better late than never, he was able to join us for a belated “I Love You” / Valentine’s Day date night in March. Dad, Mom, Alyssa, and John Webster all tagged along, enjoying a night on the town together!… Making memories!!

“I Love You” Day, 2013

“I Love You” Day, 2013

by KELLY on MARCH 20, 2013

Our last yearcallie’s “I Love You” Day celebration was a formal dress up occasion (obviously voted on by the girls in the family!)
This year, the boys got to pick, and of course, it was a jean affair with hamburgers on the grill!
We kept the names that were drawn for the gift exchange anonymous… well, at least we tried! Some of the siblings squeaked, but we had a really good time together… and that’s what it’s all about, saying, “I love you” in a special kinda way!!

A romantic dinner served to us by the Kaneshiro family on the island of Molokai (The goblets contain juice, in case you’re wondering)

With no major stores, just 4 mom & pop restaurants, and no “city life,” we had the island of Molokai practically to ourselves! It has 8000 residents and miles of deserted beaches! With only one gas station, prices are high… but well worth it for the privacy! The motto on Molokai is, “If you’re in a hurry, you’re on the wrong island!” … and with most speed limits at 35mph, they mean it!20121212_094514

From rocky beaches to sandy white stretches to huge cliffs with towering waterfalls, Hawaii was the most gorgeous place I’ve ever been!

20121214_145921My very favorite tourist attraction was the unforgettable drive 20121214_130919to Halawa Valley, on the island of Molokai, along side of a curvy single lane road that winds beside ocean and mountains, then dead ends into an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean.20121214_160327
